They Done put me on the TV

Previously, I had mentioned a crew shooting at the Wind Tunnel for an upcoming show on Discovery Channel. Well, it came and went and nobody let us know. I got multiple e-mails in my work inbox this morning from people saying they saw me on the show last night. I checked by Discovery Channel and of course it is not listed as getting replayed any time on the schedule. Part of the problem was we were looking for the wrong title. Turns out they renamed it "Weird or What". Us here would most likely fall into the or what category.

One of our grad students has it on his DVR and we are working at getting the clip from the production company.

  1. Husband was randomly watching the show last night after whatever he was watching before it and I came in about half way through the show to sit down (about two or three segments before yours) and all of a sudden he sits up and is like, "Dude, we know him!" (Though honestly, I don't think I've ever seen you without your hat, so it didn't entirely look like you to me, but he was insistent that it was) Totally crazy that we just happened to be watching the show that you happened to be in!

  3. Dang it! I was looking forward to seeing that episode.

Well, if you do get video or it gets posted somewhere, please refer. I'd love to see it.

  4. Well I tried to decompress a RAR file and finally was able to get a usable copy off of unsenet.nl.

Funny how they blacked out the sign out front so it only shows low speed wind tunnel but in the scene inside the tunnel, the A&M logo is prominently displayed.

That and the interview they did with me that lasted a good 20 minutes was not used at all. Probably because their interest was in the moving rocks not the wind tunnel.

All in all, another cool TV spot. That makes two now.
