Range Win Day

So, had a class this morning and got to shoot some with docbot. Doc learned that with a few very minor tweaks, he needs to shoot faster. Other than that, we hung out and did some fun shooting after class and generally had a fun time at the range. Great weather, great company, out on the range shooting, doesn't get any better than that.
Except now I have to go to work (the day job) to get things setup for Monday.

Ah, what a day!

UPDATE: docbot wrote up his review. Thanks for the kind words doc. IT really was a joy on the range Saturday. Great people and good shooting. That's what it's all about. The day really was made of WIN!

  1. I'm glad to hear things went well with docbot. Wish I could have been there, but today was a day for family.

  3. I'm glad Dock was able to make it out there for the class. I've been singing the praises of KR Training to him for awhile now and its good he finally took my advice and showed up for the class.

Joy and I are looking forward to the AT4: Extreme(!) Pistol class on the 18th. Any chance you'll be instructing that day? Also, any chance there'll be another Defensive Long Gun class in the near future? We were unable to make the most recent one and thats one I've been quite interested in taking.

  5. Considering, especially, that I was running on 3.5 hours of sleep... it was a mighty fine day. I try not to indulge in pride but I think I had a good day of shooting, all in all.

The level of instruction, and the overall friendliness and "vibe" were superlative. I will recommend KR training with vigor.

"Doc learned that with a few very minor tweaks, he needs to shoot faster."

I would amend that to "Dock actually learned some actual shooting technique, and was able to shoot accurately faster than ever before, and should work to become even faster."

And also I won't sweep anyone next time with my muzzle with my cleared, slide-locked pistol when we move the barrels off the line. (Yeah, the sleep dep got me.) I knew I should have worn and used my holster...

It was great to meet you and everyone else. I quite honestly could not have asked for a better day, and you're right - Tom's tricked out XD-45 is an incredibly nice pistol.

I'll try to take the next level up of pistol training here sometime... money permitting of course.

    Thanks again!
