So we had these visitors today to Easterwood Airport. I do not know what the "FAST Demonstration Team" is but there were two A-10's with pods on them that said just that on them. Anyone out there know about them? I was leaving work as they were spooling up so I stopped to take a couple pictures and shot some video of them taking off ever so slowly. I wish I could of caught them just after landing so I could have talked to the pilots and found out just who they were. But, Alas I have to work on occasion and today was one of those days.
Gotta love the Warthog. I mean, any plane where the design meeting goes along the lines of "We have this big gun. How do we make it fly?" is alright by me.
ReplyDeleteThe A-10 does what it's supposed to do, and then does it again and again ... and again.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful!
Nice picture. I wish my base had A-10s, it used to and we still have the giant berm they would park the bird infront of while messing with its cannon. I know the Air Force has several different A-10 demonstration teams, mainly East and West, I haven't heard of FAST though.
ReplyDeleteYeah well, looking at some of the other pictures it would appear that it really is the EAST Demonstration Team. The bottom of the E got washed out in the pictures.
